We are Fly Doncaster Ltd, a newly formed operating company set up to mobilise, reopen and manage the running of Doncaster Sheffield Airport. Established by the City of Doncaster Council, we are committed to establishing a top-class regional airport and maximising its potential to bring economic growth to the region.

Doncaster Sheffield operated as a commercial airport between 2005 and 2022. Today this means the site already boasts an established terminal, several hangars and top-class facilities. Having this infrastructure in place, alongside an excellent proximity to transport links, makes it the ideal location for both passenger and commercial flights.

The revival of Doncaster Sheffield Airport is one of the most significant economic regeneration projects in the North of England. This is more than a transport hub; it is a major procurement engine. Our strategy is to build a resilient, efficient and sustainable supply chain that prioritises local and regional businesses, ensuring that the £160m investment directly stimulates the South Yorkshire economy. We are actively identifying and engaging airport suppliers, from major aviation contractors to local Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). They will be crucial in every phase, from the re-mobilisation and construction through to long-term operations.

Registered Public Sector Supplier

As a publicly owned airport, Doncaster Sheffield Airport can only contract suppliers who are registered on the government’s Central Digital Platform (CDP). You can register on their website. Once registered you will obtain a Public Procurement Organisation Number (PPON), which will be required when tendering for any opportunity.
