About Us
We are Fly Doncaster Ltd, a newly formed operating company set up to mobilise, reopen and manage the running of Doncaster Sheffield Airport. Established by the City of Doncaster Council, we are committed to establishing a top-class regional airport and maximising its potential to bring economic growth to the region.
The Airport
Doncaster Sheffield operated as a commercial airport between 2005 and 2022. Today this means the site already boasts an established terminal, several hangars and top-class facilities. Having this infrastructure in place, alongside an excellent proximity to transport links, makes it the ideal location for both passenger and commercial flights.

Doncaster Sheffield Airport (DSA) is situated in Finningley, Doncaster, and is strategically positioned for easy access from across the North and Midlands. The site benefits from direct connectivity to major motorway routes, making travel straightforward for passengers and freight alike.

DSA is easily accessible via the motorway network, benefiting from dedicated road links that ensure fast journeys from surrounding cities.

From the South (A1/M1): Take the A1(M) north to the M18. Head east on the M18 until Junction 3 (or follow the signs for the Airport). Use the Great Yorkshire Way (A6182) for the most direct and efficient access to the terminal site.

From the North (M62/A1): Take the A1(M) south to the M18 (Junction 35) or follow directions towards Doncaster, then join the M18 eastbound towards the airport.

From Sheffield/West: Access the M18 eastbound, following signs for Doncaster and the airport via the Great Yorkshire Way (A6182).
There are currently no commercial parking operations in place at the airport. However our future plan is to provide a range of secure, convenient parking options close to the terminal entrance.
Future Parking Options will include:

Short Stay: Closest to the terminal, ideal for drop-off and collection.

Long Stay: Economical parking for longer trips.

Blue Badge Parking: Dedicated accessible bays will be located in the closest car parks, supported by Help Points linked to our assistance team.
We are committed to delivering an inclusive airport that is accessible via a robust public transport network. While bus and rail services are a major focus for future investment, here is our current position:

Bus Services: The City of Doncaster Council is prioritising the expansion of accessible bus services to connect the terminal with Doncaster Interchange (for rail and city centre connections) and other key towns across South Yorkshire. Detailed timetable information will be made available closer to the launch date.

Rail Connection (Future Plan): Our long-term vision includes the development of a dedicated connection to the rail network. This ambitious project is part of the broader South Yorkshire Airport City masterplan and is essential for maximising the airport’s economic reach.
