About Us

We are Fly Doncaster Ltd, a newly formed operating company set up to mobilise, reopen and manage the running of Doncaster Sheffield Airport. Established by the City of Doncaster Council, we are committed to establishing a top-class regional airport and maximising its potential to bring economic growth to the region.

The Airport

Doncaster Sheffield operated as a commercial airport between 2005 and 2022. Today this means the site already boasts an established terminal, several hangars and top-class facilities. Having this infrastructure in place, alongside an excellent proximity to transport links, makes it the ideal location for both passenger and commercial flights.

Airport City

More than just an airport; Doncaster Sheffield Airport are delivering a major regeneration project, developing an aviation community that will drive economic growth across the area and the North of England.

Final chance to have say on DSA Airspace plans

Residents and stakeholders are being asked for their views
Residents and stakeholders across Doncaster and the surrounding areas are being encouraged to have their say on airspace plans as the current consultation enters its final days.

The Airspace Change Proposal (ACP) consultation was opened in early August and as of mid-September had gathered >1,300 responses. Residents are now being reminded that they have until Midnight on Sunday October 4th to submit their views.

Over the last two months, the consultation team has held five in-person events and spoken to hundreds of people about the airspace proposals. There have also been several online webinars for members of the community, as well as events aimed at the General Aviation audience.

Christian Foster, Director of FlyDoncaster Ltd said: “With the consultation window closing on the 4th October, residents have just over a week and a half left to submit their feedback on our plans. Speaking to local people, hearing and addressing any concerns they may have and acting as a good neighbour to the communities around the airport is vital to the success of this project.”

“Over the course of the consultation we’ve engaged extensively over a wide area and heard a variety of views that we will now take into account before submitting updated documents to the CAA as part of this process.”

When the consultation window closes on 4th October, the consultation team will carefully review and categorise the feedback raised and produce a consultation response document. Feedback will be directly used to inform the next stages of the process.

While the in-person events have now concluded, there are two webinars that interested parties can register for this week, on Wednesday 23 September at 17:30 to 19:00 and on Friday 25 September at 11:00 to 12:30.

Consultation documents can also be viewed at numerous locations. Please visit the consultation portal for more information and to submit your feedback.

While responses cannot be collected the phone or by email, those wishing to secure physical copies of feedback forms and are unable to attend document locations can contact the consultation team by emailing [email protected] or calling 0800 043 3099.
